Dual-energy sources in Endourology
COURSE DESCRIPTION
SWISS LITHOCLAST® TRILOGY: Trilogy is a type of energy source that uses three different types of energy: ultrasonic, pneumatic, and ballistic. The ultrasonic energy is used to break up the stone, while the pneumatic energy is used to suction the stone fragments out of the urinary tract. The ballistic energy is used to break up any remaining fragments. Trilogy is generally effective for hard stones, but may not work as well for softer stones.
Shockpulse-SE (Stone Eliminator) : Shockpulse is a type of energy source that uses pneumatic energy to break up stones. Unlike other pneumatic devices, Shockpulse uses a unique pulse pattern that produces more efficient fragmentation and reduced injury to the surrounding tissues. Shockpulse is effective for both hard and soft stones, and has been shown to have a lower complication rate compared to other energy sources.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The lecture by Dr Dilip Mishra will give you an over view about Trilogy and Shockpulse in endourology. SWISS LITHOCLAST® TRILOGY, and Shockpulse-SE (Stone Eliminator) are all different types of energy sources that are commonly used in endourology for stone removal procedures.
