Puncture in Supine PCNL, Tips and Tricks for an effective and safe procedure
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Dr. Marcos Cepeda, a leading expert in minimally invasive urology from the University of Valladolid, presents this step-by-step instructional video focusing on the puncture phase of supine PCNL (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy). As PCNL is increasingly performed in the supine position due to its ergonomic and safety advantages, this video provides a deep dive into the nuances of renal access in this posture.
Through detailed explanations and live demonstrations, Dr. Cepeda shares essential tips and tricks that are key to performing the procedure efficiently while ensuring patient safety. Viewers will learn about the ideal patient positioning, needle insertion techniques, fluoroscopic guidance, and troubleshooting common challenges encountered during the puncture phase. The video also includes real-world case examples and discussions on how to avoid and manage complications.
This course is ideal for practitioners looking to refine their skills in supine PCNL, whether they are beginners or experienced professionals seeking advanced insights into this important procedure.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The objective of this course is to equip healthcare professionals with advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary to:
