Instructor

Dr. Ramon Cansino

Dr. Cansino graduated from medical school at University of Seville in 1998, and completed a
urology trainee at the La Paz University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. He got his place in property by
opposition and did his doctoral thesis. Later he completed the FEBU in European association of
urology.
He is an expert in laparoscopic surgery and endourology, including Holmium laser enucleation
prostate and obtaining the position of head of the lithiasis and endourology section in 2018 at this
same hospital.
Dr. Cansino is an expert in percutaneous prone surgery and in semi-rigid and flexible
ureterorrenoscopy, coordinating and directing these surgeries in the children's hospital also.
He is a professor of several courses in lithiasis and endourology and has participated in numerous
congresses, national and international, with live surgery in flexible ureteroscopy and
percutaneous surgery.
He is an associate member of European association urology lithiasis section (EULIS) and
international alliance of urolithiasis (IAU) in ureteroscopy and is co-director of the URS section of
the IAU.
He has been the organizer of the first EULIS URS Workshop held in Madrid in 2018
He has been the director of the Flexible URS Course in the Spanish national congress since 2013
and professor of the National PCNL Course in the Spanish National Congress.
Another important activity like professor, is a 12 months course in different state of Spain, where
Dr. Cansino collaborate with the endourology program of different Urology departments, helping
with the initial percutaneous and flexible URS cases in those hospitals.
